2013 was the International Year of Water Cooperation.  In recognition of this year, staff from the Department of Environment and Climate Change (GNWT) created a public mural in Yellowknife.  On July 9th, Yellowknife residents took a pledge to look after our waters by leaving a handprint and signing a pledge.  There were over 100 participants and included children from the Montessori school and tourists all the way from South Africa.
