NWT Water Stewardship Award

NWT Water Stewardship Award

The NWT Water Stewardship Award was established in 2024 by the Government of the Northwest Territories, Department of Environment and Climate Change, in collaboration with the Indigenous Steering Committee.

The Award recognizes and honours outstanding individuals and organizations in the Northwest Territories who have made significant contributions to ensuring NWT waters remain clean, abundant, and productive for all time.

Water sustains life and ecosystems, and it is important to acknowledge those who demonstrate exemplary dedication and leadership in safeguarding our water. Through this award, we seek to highlight these outstanding efforts and inspire others.
