15th Annual NWT Water Stewardship Strategy Implementation Workshop Highlights!
On October 29-30th, 120 participants gathered in Dettah for the Annual NWT Water Stewardship Strategy Implementation Workshop, under the theme of ‘Shaping the Future of NWT Water Stewardship – Actions, Learnings, and Insights for Tomorrow’. This year’s workshop marks 15 years of Water Partners coming together to support the advancement of the NWT Water Stewardship Strategy.
The informative two-day event was filled with presentations, panels, and knowledge sharing sessions, on community-based water monitoring, water levels across the territory, NWT drinking water management, transboundary water management, flood mapping, youth water stewardship opportunities, and many more! Participants also engaged in active discussions, providing valuable insight to help guide and advance the work of NWT Water Partners.
The workshop was also a great venue to present for the first time the NWT Water Stewardship Award to George D Lennie and Laura Krutko, in recognition to their invaluable contribution to water stewardship in the NWT.
