NWT Water Stewardship Partnerships Calendar 2019-2020 now available

Residents of the Northwest Territories (NWT) have a strong relationship with water. Clean and abundant water is essential to ecosystem health and the social, cultural and economic well-being of people living in the territory.

Partnerships allow us to combine our efforts towards meaningful water stewardship for the benefit of all northerners. These partnerships are diverse, taking shape as partnerships among communities, governments, academics, non-governmental organizations, industry, youth and elders. They take place at the community level, the regional level, the territorial level and even across borders. These partnerships are essential to achieving vision of the NWT Water Stewardship Strategy to ensure the waters of the NWT remain clean, abundant and productive for all time.

The new 2019-20 Water Stewardship Strategy calendar showcases the partnerships and collaboration that help make water stewardship in the NWT a success. It also features the photos and artwork of NWT youth, who captured what water means to them and their community for our Water Stewardship Youth Multimedia Contest.
