Calling all NWT youth!

We are pleased to launch the 2020 Youth NWT Water Stewardship Multimedia Contest!

NWT youth aged 25 and under are invited to enter submissions in one of the following categories that capture their connection to water:

  • Photography – maximum two photos (minimum file size is 1MB)
  • Video – maximum video length of three minutes
  • Artwork – maximum one piece of art

Does your photo or video include people in them?

If so, those people must sign an Image Release Form.  We will email you the form when you submit your entry. This form must be filled out by anyone in your photo or video for your entry to be included in the contest.

Contest entries will be accepted until November 30, 2020 at midnight.

Submissions must be made online through the contest entry form on the NWT Water Stewardship website:  https://form.jotform.com/nwtwaterstewardship/contest.

All submissions will be displayed on the NWT Water Stewardship website throughout December and early January for voting. Prizes will be awarded to the top submissions and runner-ups in each category. There are some exciting prizes up for grabs this year!

Top entries will also be featured on the NWT Water Stewardship website (www.nwtwaterstewardship.ca) and in upcoming Water Stewardship Strategy publications.

The Youth NWT Water Stewardship Multimedia Contest is a celebration of the rivers, lakes, streams and ponds that are essential to northern life. We are encouraging youth to get outdoors and share their connections to water – in all its forms – through photography, video and art. Our hope is to have entries from every community in the NWT!
