We are pleased to launch the 2018 Youth NWT Water Stewardship Multimedia Contest!

NWT youth aged 25 and under are invited make submissions in one of the following categories that capture their connection to water:

  • Photography – maximum two photos
  • Video – maximum video length of 3 minutes
  • Artwork – maximum one piece of art

Contest entries will be accepted until October 9, 2018 at 12:00pm.

All contest entries must be registered online through the contest entry form. Video and photo submissions must be uploaded online. Artwork submissions can be submitted online, by mail or in-person.

All submissions will be displayed at the Water Stewardship Strategy Implementation Workshop in Dettah, NT on October 24-25, 2018. Prizes will be awarded to the top photos and runner-ups in each category. There are some new and exciting prizes up for grabs this year! 

Top entries will also be featured on this website and in upcoming Water Stewardship Strategy publications.

The Youth NWT Water Stewardship Multimedia Contest is a celebration of the rivers, lakes, streams and ponds that are essential to northern life. We are encouraging youth to get outdoors and share their connections to water through photography, video and art. Our hope is to have entries from every community in the NWT!
